Following the outstanding reception of the first two releases, we proudly present Corporal Wojtek Vol. 3 — an exceptional 21-year-old Blended Scotch Whisky, created from carefully selected malt and grain whiskies matured for a minimum of 21 years and bottled at 43% ABV.
Limited to just 500 bottles worldwide, this third chapter marks an important milestone for the Corporal Wojtek Collection. With the majority of the release destined for the United States, only a very limited allocation will remain available in the UK and Europe.
A mature, elegant and highly limited release, Corporal Wojtek 21 Year Old continues Wojtek's remarkable journey — this time, taking his story across the Atlantic.
The Story of Wojtek:
This remarkable whisky honors the extraordinary bear Wojtek, who became an official member of the Polish Army during World War II. Rescued as a cub in Iran and adopted by soldiers serving under General Władysław Anders, Wojtek quickly became part of the unit—known for his playful spirit, immense strength, and unwavering companionship. During the Battle of Monte Cassino, he famously helped carry heavy artillery shells alongside the soldiers of the Polish II Corps, who ultimately broke the German resistance. His story remains a powerful symbol of courage, loyalty, and the unbreakable bond formed in the darkest of times.
Tasting note:
The nose is soft, mature and beautifully rounded, opening with notes of baked orchard fruits, vanilla pastry, honey and sweet malt. Apple pie, ripe pear and soft stone fruits mingle with butterscotch, vanilla cream and delicate baking spices, while a subtle waxy character brings that unmistakable touch of well-aged whisky.
On the palate, it is smooth, sweet and gently fruity, with layers of honey, vanilla custard, baked apples and buttery pastry. Notes of caramel, soft citrus and ripe pear are joined by a delicate nuttiness and a faint old-whisky waxiness, adding depth without disturbing its easy-going character.
The finish is smooth, warming and lingering, with vanilla, honey, sweet pastry and soft fruit, gradually giving way to gentle oak, baking spices and a final subtle waxy note characteristic of mature Scotch.
