A fantastic selection from Claxton's Spirits. Despite its relatively young age, this whisky showcases just how beautifully a vibrant spirit can interact with an exceptional Pedro Ximénez cask.

Tasting note:

Nose: The aroma opens with an intense wave of sherry influence, immediately revealing notes of dried fruits, dates, and raisins. Beneath the richness lies a deep sweetness reminiscent of PX syrup, complemented by hints of polished oak and dark toffee. Despite its youthful age, the spirit displays remarkable maturity and complexity.

Palate: The palate beautifully mirrors the nose, delivering a rich and full-bodied experience. Layers of dried fruits are joined by brighter notes of fresh oranges and a touch of lemon zest, bringing balance and vibrancy to the whisky. The influence of the Pedro Ximénez cask remains ever-present, contributing depth, sweetness, and a luxurious mouthfeel without overpowering the distillate itself.

Finish: The finish is exceptionally long and refined. Gentle waves of lingering sweetness slowly give way to delicate oak spices and subtle citrus oils.
