This Trinidad Rum has been distilled at Caroni Distillery in 1998 and has been through 23 years of aging, mostly in UK. It has been bottled in January 2022. Bottled by Precious Liquors & The Auld Alliance Singapore.

Tasting note:

Nose: Big nose! Dominated with petrol, oils, infused with herbal, eucalyptus like nuances. Liquorice is present, strong oolong tea as well. Additional notes of varnish and fresh, smoking tar emerge over time, complemented by delightful hints of dried or overripe pineapple. While the profile is undeniably robust, the intensity remains approachable.

Mouth: The palate is quite enjoyable, even at full at this strenght. It features a wealth of mentholated flavors, black olives, and again those fresh, tarry notes. Caramelized nuts sprinkled with diesel? Nice and soft tannins rounding the mouthfeel.

Finish: The finish is lengthy and tar-like, characterized by herbal or menthol like scents, along with, bit dusty with caramel or toffee sweetness… all stays with you to let you peel it layer by layer…
